The home
The pool starts where the living room ends
The apartment sits at ground level in Higuerón West, on the slope between Benalmádena and Fuengirola. Living room, kitchen and all three bedrooms are on the same floor, and the wide glass doors open straight onto the terrace and the pool. That matters when somebody is small — and when somebody has had enough of stairs.
The pool is heated and faces the sea. The terrace is partly covered, so there is always both sun and shade, and the outdoor kitchen with its grill stands a few steps from the table. The neighbourhood is new, quiet and finished — and the terrace is closed off by hedge and wall the whole way round.
With children
Most of our guests travel with small children. The home is set up for that — not decorated to look like it.
The pool is heated, so the water is bearable in spring and autumn too. That is usually what decides whether the smallest ones stay in for more than five minutes.

Living room and dining table in one
The round table seats six, and the glass wall behind it slides all the way open. The sofa is modular, so it can be pulled apart when somebody ends up on the floor in front of the television. A 65-inch TV with Netflix and YouTube, a shelf of board games and puzzles, and a basket of toys for the smallest guests. Air conditioning and heating in every room.
Kitchen and coffee corner
Bosch oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen — enough of everything to host dinner for six without borrowing from the neighbours. The coffee corner has a Siemens bean-to-cup machine, and syrups for whoever likes it sweet. Two stools at the counter for the first cup of the day.
Main bedroom with its own bathroom
A 180 cm bed, built-in wardrobes and its own door onto the terrace. The sea sits on the horizon from the window, and the en-suite bathroom with a bathtub opens straight off the room. There is also a desk with a wide curved screen — for the morning when somebody has to work while the rest are in the pool.
Bedroom 2 — the green one
A 160 cm bed that can be split into two singles if you would rather. Built-in wardrobes along one wall, and a view of the mountain behind the neighbourhood. Its own door to the garden and morning light through the glass. This room shares the second bathroom with bedroom 3.
Bedroom 3 — the ochre one
A 160 cm bed, built-in wardrobes and the same quiet view of the mountain. Deep blue linen against the ochre wall — the room guests most often call the prettiest. This room, too, has its own door outside, so you can go straight into the pool in the morning.
Two bathrooms
Both bathrooms have stone tiles, a mirrored cabinet and real room at the basin. One has a bathtub with a shower over it — that is where the children get rinsed off after the pool. Towels, soap and a hairdryer are laid out. There is a washing machine in the apartment.
The terrace, the pool and the outdoor kitchen
Under the roof overhang, loungers and a lounge sofa stay in shade all day. The outdoor table seats six, and the outdoor kitchen has a Steel gas grill, a sink and worktop.

Higuerón West — between two towns
The apartment sits in Reserva del Higuerón, on the slope just above Carvajal beach between Benalmádena and Fuengirola. It is a good kilometre downhill to the water — twelve minutes on foot, five by car. The train from Carvajal runs direct to both central Málaga and the airport, so you can get here without a hire car.

Are there stairs in the home?
No. Everything is on one level; the living room, kitchen and all three bedrooms are on the same floor, and the glass doors open directly onto the terrace and pool.
Is the pool heated?
Yes. It is private and heated, so it can be used outside high summer.
Can we manage without a rental car?
The train from Carvajal runs directly to Málaga city centre and the airport. Carvajal station is 1.3 km away, a fifteen-minute walk or five minutes by car.
How are the beds arranged?
There is a 180 cm bed in the main bedroom with its own bathroom, and a 160 cm bed in each of the other two rooms. Bedroom 2 can be split into two single beds.
Is the sports club included?
No. The club is not part of the home; guests buy day passes directly from Higuerón Sport Club. The spa and restaurants are open to everyone.
