    The house

    Cared for personally by Christian

Located near Gibralfaro castle, this five-bedroom villa accommodates up to nine guests across bright, carefully furnished spaces. Days revolve around the private heated pool, with living areas made for families and larger groups.

Looking down on the pool courtyard, with a straw parasol, lounge seating and a long dining table

The terrace in the morning, before the sun clears the wall.

    01

Bright living room with fireplace and smart TV

The main living space has soft green corduroy seating gathered around the fireplace and a wall-mounted television. Light comes through the large windows all afternoon — a calm place to land when the terrace gets too warm.

    02

A table long enough for everyone

The long wooden table stands set for group dinners and slow breakfasts. Woven pendants, simple ceramics — room for the whole party at once, with nobody seated off to the side.

Same party, two tables: one indoors for cool evenings, one outside for the rest.

    03

Five bedrooms — and a corner to work in

Four double bedrooms with 160 cm beds, plus a children's room. Two rooms face the sea, two the mountains. Arched cane headboards and a heat pump in every room. Two rooms have their own bathroom, and one holds a desk and chair, for the morning when somebody has to work while the others are at the pool.

    04

Set up for arriving with children

There is a children's room with a low wooden floor bed, a rainbow on the wall and books on the shelf. A travel cot is ready for the youngest, so you do not have to fly one down.

    With children

The house was set up by a family that travels with small children. Most of what you would otherwise pack is already here.

Private heated pool and stone terrace

Out the door lies the travertine terrace with the private saltwater pool — heated all year — and broad steps into the water. Sun loungers, a straw umbrella and a long table for eight: this is where the days actually get spent.

No car needed, if you would rather not

The question we get most: can you manage without a hire car? Yes. Uber comes all the way up the hill, and both meals and groceries are delivered to the door.

    Uber to and from town

Uber operates across Málaga and finds its way up to the house without trouble. Down to the centre or the seafront takes a few minutes, and getting home after dinner is just as easy. Taxis work the same way.

Typically 5-12 minutes down to the centre. Fares vary with time of day and demand.

    Food delivered to the door

Uber Eats and Glovo both deliver to the house — from sushi and pizza to the local espeto places by the beach. Useful on the first evening, when nobody wants to go out again.

Both apps cover the address. Download them before you travel so they are ready.

    Groceries without a car

Glovo will also pick up groceries from the supermarkets down the hill, so you can fill the fridge without carrying anything up. Otherwise the nearest supermarket is a ten-minute walk down the hill.

We leave coffee, oil, salt and a few basics ready for your arrival.

    Arrival

    Good to know

Do we need a hire car?

No. Uber covers all of Málaga and finds its way up to the house, and the centre is a few minutes down the hill. Uber Eats and Glovo both deliver to the address, and Glovo will also fetch groceries from the supermarkets below.

Is the pool really heated in winter?

Yes. It is a heated saltwater pool, warm all year and open around the clock. A roll cover keeps the heat in; we ask you to close it overnight.

Is the house good for small children?

Yes. There is a high chair, a travel cot, a low floor bed with no drop, toys, children's books in Danish and English, and a foosball table under cover. The pool has three wide steps and a shelf to sit on in the shallow end.

    Are there steps?

Yes. The house is built over several levels, and outdoor travertine steps connect the garden and terraces. There are stair gates for most of the stairs indoors.

    How do we get in?

Keyless, with a door code. You can arrive on your own schedule.

    Is anything shared?

No. The whole house, the pool courtyard, the garden and the entrance loggia are yours, and nobody else stays on site.
